2011 Edition

The 3th Edition of the Team Game Development Competition had its final on June 30, 2011. 10 teams who presented demo versions of computer games, designed and made according to original ideas, participated in the event. The Competition took place under the patronage of Rector Prof. Eng. Stanisław Bielecki, Ph.D. The main prize was a cup funded by the Rector of the Lodz University of Technology and a money prize funded by the Polish Information Processing Society. Teyon also sponsored the contest by funding prizes.

The Jury consisted of 9 members, including 5 representatives of the computer games industry, 1 representative of the Polish Information Processing Society and 3 representatives of the Institute of Information Technology of the University of Lodz - the organizer of the competition. They were:

Maciej Miąsik - one of the "founding fathers" of the computer games industry in Poland, with almost 20 years of experience in the business. Responsible for titles that went on to become commercial successes, among them: "Electro Body", "FireFight", "Reah", "Schizm", "Schizm II", "Sentinel", and games from the series "The Witcher". Currently, he works at one2tribe - one of the leaders in the production of mobile and browser games in Poland.

Artur Ganszyniec - Chief Computer Games Designer in the series "The Witcher", since 2006 working at CD Projekt RED.

Michał Tadka ? CEO at Teyon Software and Entertainment, a Krakow-based producer and publisher of games with a newly created branch in Łódź. The company has already released and produced more than 60 commercial titles for almost all technology platforms (Wii, PS, XBOX, etc.), some of which (e.g. Heavy Fire) have been holding the tile of a best-seller for several months.

Andrzej Romanowski ? Secretary of the Polish Information Processing Society - Łódź branch and Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Computer Science

Dominik Szajerman ? Associate Professor at the Institute of Information Technology of the Lodz University of Technology

Jarosław Andrzejczak - Assistant at the Institute of Information Technology of the Lodz University of Technology

Adam Wojciechowski - Associate Professor at the Institute of Information Technology of the Lodz University of Technology

The Jury decided to award the first place and the main prize to the Undead Squad team composed of: Krzysztof Tracz, Andrzej Dominowski, Piotr Wójcik, Łukasz Michalski and Bartosz Herman for their game "Pyramiden".

On behalf of the Jury, additional distinction awards were also given:

- the Redberry Games team composed of Kamil Zygmuntowicz, Tomasz Kłapsia, Marcin Jędrzejewski, Michał Turkowski, Daniel Dworak and Joanna Rapiejko for the style and atmosphere of their game "One-Eight-Seven"

- the Hellwombats team composed of Damian Nowakowski, Adrian Lebioda, Tomasz Stark, Michał Binkowski and Anna Bartniak for the consistency of the game in "Rise of the Fallen Lords"

- the Pedace Imadla team composed of Mateusz Janczewski, Michał Chemijewski, Mateusz Kardas, Marcin Krasowski, and Tomasz Dziuda for the animation and graphics of their game ?Przekleta Krucjata? ["The Cursed Crusade"]
